Ryo spent much of his youth in competitive sport, competing in judo and growing up in a competitive alpine skiing family.
Later, his career took him to Los Angeles, where he worked in visual effects and computer graphics for Hollywood blockbusters, focusing on comparing images, building user-friendly tools, and solving motion-related problems for film production.
His work has spanned feature films, television, and streaming series, from large Hollywood productions to more recent international projects.
GhostIt comes from the intersection of those two backgrounds: competitive sport and visual effects engineering.
It was originally built for Ryo's own use as an athlete: a way to compare two training clips perfectly aligned, on location, immediately after each attempt, using only a phone and normal handheld footage. No tripod. No operator. Just one button push.
